Dr. Karla Schmidt DDS

Dr. Karla Schmidt joined our team in June 2010 and has quickly become a favorite with patients. Dr. Karla moved to this area from her hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and admits to being both a Packers fan and a bona fide “Cheesehead”. She graduated from Marquette University in 2001 with her undergraduate degree in Biology, and then in 2004 with her professional DDS degree. Dr. Schmidt completed her residency in General Dentistry at the Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Since then, she has kept busy taking care of her patients’ general dentistry needs and maintaining their oral health. Dr. Schmidt is a member of the American Dental Association.When not taking care of patients, Dr. Schmidt enjoys yoga and running 5k races. She loves spending time with her husband and their young son, and traveling back to Wisconsin to visit family and friends.

Personal:

Dr. Westermeier married his college sweetheart, in 1989 after successfully bribing her to move to Buffalo from St. Louis. They are blessed with three
children who are all competitive swimmers and
Tae Kwon Do enthusiasts.. Black belts were earned by the entire family. They all enjoy skiing, golfing, swimming, and traveling as a family…still.

Personal:

Dr. Martin knew at a very young age that he wanted to be a dentist. His passion for dentistry led him to two internships, at Buffalo Childrens’ Hospital Dental Clinic, and at the Warren Dental Hospital before he ever applied to dental school. The internships clinched it for him and the rest is history! Dr. Martin met his wife in his hometown of Chautauqua, and they have two children who both attend college. He lives in Orchard Park and enjoys watching the Sabres, playing tennis and spending time with his family.
